Even at 27, I have been unable to come to terms with the fact that life isn't fair. And no amount of crying, wishing, denial, putting my hands over my ears & stomping my feet is going to make it so. How I wish it would....
Yeah, it's not fair. Some people have a grandfather who puts 23 million dollars into a trust to benefit them and their cousins, and other people are beaten to death in their homes because they are gay. What do those things have in common? It's all a matter of luck. One just happened to be born into an uber wealthly family. One just happened to be born gay in a country that brings intolerance to a new level. Neither person did anything to deserve what they got. So yeah, life isn't fair, and it sucks.
